Texas & Oklahoma Real Estate Agent & Land Specialist Ben Jackson

Ben Jackson started selling Texas land in 2015 and obtained a real estate license in Oklahoma in 2020. In July 2023, he took over United Country Legacy Land Company (formerly United Country Bobo Realty & Land Company), where he had consistently been a top producer, leading to the office receiving consecutive annual United Country Top Producing Office awards since 2018. In 2023, the company was also recognized as one of the America Best Brokerages by The Land Report.

Ben specializes in representing rural land sellers and buyers looking for various types of land in Texas and Oklahoma, including unimproved land, timberland, ranches, farms, horse properties, recreational properties, and hunting land.

“I left working for the government because I realized there was more opportunity in the private sector,” said Jackson. “I really enjoy working with people and helping them buy land. I share that same appreciation for the land that my clients do. I also work with a broker who shares that passion, so I joined his team. Carroll (Bobo) is the most respected rural land sales expert in the area.”

Ben brings extensive experience in and knowledge of forestry, wildlife science, and business to the United Country Bobo Realty & Land Company team located in Tyler, Texas. Prior to joining United Country Real Estate as a licensed Texas real estate agent, he was a Hunting Outfitter & Forester and before that a Wildlife Specialist & Beaver Trapper for the United States Department of Agriculture. Jackson also has a bachelor’s degree in wildlife science and business administration from Auburn University.

Ben lives with his wife, Frances and two children in Smith County in rural East Texas where they spend their free time exploring the great states of Texas and Oklahoma. While he hunts most anything, Whitetail Deer, turkey and Elk hunting are at the top of his list.

Jackson hunts deer, duck, dove, squirrel, elk and hog and loves chasing turkeys in the spring. His favorite memories are made while hunting with his family and friends. Hours of planning occur before hunting seasons open with early morning scouting, working out, location observation, calling and archery practice.

While hunting is fun, Ben uses the time to teach his children good stewardship of resources through wildlife conservation, to share their hunting heritage and to show them how to process and cook wild game. It gets them outside with muddy feet and a full heart.

Connecting with and supporting his local East Texas community is important to Ben. His active involvement and leadership roles with various organizations, including Texas Parks and Wildlife Stewards of the Wild Tyler Chapter, Executive Committee; East Texas State Fair, Executive board member; Rose City T Ball, Coach; Rose City Soccer, Coach; Junior League of Tyler, Contributor and East Texas Rose Museum, Contributor afford him opportunities to serve others.

At the regional and national level, Ben networks with others who share his enthusiasm for conserving wildlife habitat, upholding our hunting heritage, and enjoying nature through his membership and committee work in the National Wild Turkey Federation, Delta Waterfowl, and Texas Forestry Association. Participation and membership in local and national professional organizations is also an important extension of his network. He is an affiliate of the National Association Of Realtors© (NAR), Greater Tyler Area Realtors (GTAR) and he holds the prestigious Realtree Land Pro designation.
